Growing up

Adulthood sucks. Taking responsibility sucks. Managing your own life sucks. Why can't time just leave us alone in blissful ignorance of the nuances of growing up by not letting us ever grow up? Why can't we stay in that stage where we wake up in the morning, watch morning cartoons, play, have lunch, take our siesta which, according to our elders, will help us grow taller (if time doesn't pass do we have to grow taller?), wake up, play some more, have dinner, watch TV, take a bath, brush our teeth then go to sleep to begin the day anew?

At times the logic of change escapes me...
